Inside Sales Representative / Quotations Specialist

Position Description:
Innovative problem-solving to satisfy customer needs.  This individual will become the “go-to” expert for electrical product solutions and gear quotations.  There is unlimited opportunity for an intelligent, results-focused individual who is excited to build business through customer relationships, and detail-oriented service.

The chosen candidate will be passionate about learning.  He or she must enjoy understanding and solving technical issues.  The position initially requires physical activity in the warehouse and service counter while learning products and their functions.  As quickly as possible there will be a transition to desk-work doing quotations and inside sales.   Existing knowledge of electrical material is helpful, but extensive training will be provided. This position is best-suited for a person seeking a long-term home within the company.

This is a salaried position with opportunities for commissions and bonuses.

Primary Responsibilities

• Answering customer calls and resolving requests in a timely manner
• Blueprint take-offs and value engineering, working with vendors and preparing quotations to meet deadlines
• Project management, releasing product for shipment per schedule
• Researching product specs and sourcing unusual products to solve customer needs
• Coordinating with outside sales reps on quotations, service, and pricing
• Helping customers at the counter as needed

Desired Skills and Experience

• 2-5 years of work experience
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Competent use of Excel including ability to utilize simple formulas and format accordingly
• Competent use of Microsoft Word and Outlook
• Comfort learning and using business system software
• Creative problem-solving and innovative thinking
• Team player mindset
• Math competency
• Ability to carry product and work in a warehouse environment on a limited basis
