The Account Manager is a position for a results focused individual who is excited to build business opportunities by forming relationships with his or her customers. This candidate will need to have a proven track record pro-actively selling a product or service. We are open to various levels of experience. The chosen candidate will focus on finding electrical product solutions for customers, and will participate on the cutting edge of new technologies in the area of energy efficient systems and services. Existing knowledge of electrical material is helpful, but extensive training will be provided.
As the Account Manager, this individual is responsible for selling energy efficient lighting and electrical solutions as well as other electrical products to contractors, industrials, institutions, and commercial customers. The position requires face-to-face contact as well as telephone and electronic contact. The territory is focused around Kankakee, the south suburbs and into the City of Chicago as well as NW Indiana and the western Chicago suburbs.
This position receives strong backup support from inside sales and quotation personnel. This outside sales person has a great deal of discretion in developing and servicing accounts as well as negotiating with vendors.
- Bachelor’s degree and 1-2 years sales experience, preferred
- High energy level, resilient character, and assertive personality
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Self-motivation, detail-orientation, and customer-service focus
- Driver’s license and good driving record

Compensation Details/Other Benefits:
